New plasterboard, set straight and finished smooth

From a new laundry wall to a full extension, we set new plasterboard straight and finish it smooth: taped joints, clean corners, square-set or cornice, ready for your painter.

Where new linings earn their keep

  • Extensions and room conversions
  • Garages and rumpus rooms brought inside the house
  • Under-stair and storage nooks
  • Room splits — one big room into two real bedrooms
  • Ceiling drops for ducted air and feature bulkheads

Board choice, briefly

Standard 10mm board does most walls and ceilings. Wet areas — bathrooms, laundries, toilets — get water-resistant board by standard, not as an upsell. Fire-rated and acoustic board exists for specific separations; if your build needs it, we'll say so rather than guess.

Set, taped, finished

Plumb and square before the first screw — a wavy wall can't be fixed with compound, only hidden badly. Then taped joints, coated corners, and a finish sanded flat and checked under light before handover to paint.

Questions

New Plasterboard Installation — FAQs

Boarding a standard room is quick; the finish is what takes time — each coat needs to dry before the next. Across visits, a room typically runs several working days end to end.
